Souris River Canoes

The Tranquility is a 15'6" solo canoe built in Atikokan by Souris River Canoes (www.sourisriver.com). Fitted with an optional full cover and rudder system, this canoe provides the seaworthiness of a kayak without giving up the ease of packing and light weight of a canoe. The Kevlar model weighs 33 pounds. The hull design handles big water well. With the rudder system, it paddles well with either a single or double blade. (A Greenland paddle slightly longer than you would want for a kayak works very well.) |
