Boat Guidelines

Bring your own boat along if you have one. Learning in your own boat will help you feel more comfortable going out and practicing on your own after the symposium.

If you are bringing your own boat it must follow these specifiactions:

•Novice workshops and beginner level tours only require kayaks to be a minimum of 13.5' -15' in length. They must come with a spray skirt, static deck lines, sealed bulkheads and/or 2 floatation bags.

•Intermediate and Advanced level workshops and tours require sea kayaks of 15' or longer with properly equipped spray skirts, static deck lines and 2 sealed bulk-heads. You will be a happier paddler if you do.


Boat Package Rentals
If you don't have your own boat, no problem. We still want you to learn in a safe and seaworthy craft and can provide you with a boat, PFD, spray skirt, and paddle to get you out on the water comfortably and safely for the weekend.
